PHOTO EDITING
Here are some examples of how I would correct:
feet, ears, brightness and contrast, Evening fur out, Taking judges out, Putting in a new handler, taking out fences and leashes. Placing dogs that would normally fight, together, Fixing Hot Spots, and bad colour.
Sometimes you can't get that perfect picture, but you can always achieve it afterwards. Professional image manipulation, is what I specialize in. I also like to create special effects on photos and such, and being able to manipulate pixels effectively gives me the upper hand on creating a seamless and fabulous effect!

Why settle for someone who abuses the "clone tool", instead of professionally creating a new background to cover the part of the picture you want to delete? No more harsh edit lines, and obvious appearance of unprofessional pixel manipulation. When manipulating pixels and combining sources together, you have to keep track of the balance of curves, brightness, contrast, levels of saturation, and all too often these critical details are overlooked and the image looks like a bad cutout. The only thing worse than having a picture with something you wish to be fixed or hidden, is having it edited bad enough that even a novice could tell it's been altered.

The images not specifically given to me by owner, I have obtained through Google from sites that have not specified ownership/ nor copyright, and rely heavily on my web page viewers to inform me if they can provide that information. I have never gone to a known website/breeder website with the intent to take an image without permission. I have been on the receiving end of that far too often (thanks PuppyFind). So if you find your image here, please contact me, and I can update it with your ownership information, link to your website or email, or remove it entirely and I will supply you with the edited image as a thank you for it's use!

The following are throw images ... I took the three dogs, edited them for the colours to match the scenery, added the background, and shadows underneath. I then sized it to be what it needed for the throw.

Photo edits for www.rickmercer.com - I love this site!
You take a political figure and have some fun with it in the photo challenge!
It's a great idea for gag gifts and cards!

Here we see a Poodle Bichon mix, a lovely picture, but the leash took away from it. In this photo, I removed the leash, this took about 25 minutes, and is no way near an example I would call professional. But just a quick example to show you what you can take out of a picture.
Towsushet's-The-Misstress ... sadly passed on ...
Here is a picture of Phil Cappazollo and Rev.
This was a 25 minute photo correction. It was hard to remove Linda, and her shadow from Phil's jacket, as well I had to get him a new arm and tuck it in his pocket, which fit in with his stance and tilted posture. The sun was bright, grasses yellow, so I left a lot of the shadow on him, but the background, grass, trees and sky are all added into this picture.

Up late - surfing google images and decided to play around.
These were all quick five minute edits ... beautiful pictures, wonderful layouts, perfect for fiddling.
These all came from a blog over in the Uk, if you recognize the images please let me know.

Some beautiful Arabian horses, unfortunately with halters on ... simply remove them.
About 10 minutes spent each one.

An Aussie enjoying the beach ... I fixed the ear and removed the leash (Personally I like the ear - gives character).
This was originally a coloured image, but I changed it to Black and White, and coloured it again. I was happy with the result except the yellow around the belly inside legs, and around the halter. Sometimes it's very hard to get the white to look natural, even when you have the original file to work from. I also forgot to colour the barn in the background haha!

here's a before and after of my Dad and his new truck!
Goodbye Ferry - hello mountains!
This one was a little more tricky. I took Carolyn's face from one, put it in photo 2, took Mom and Shelby from same photo and moved them over as well. Reconstructed the side of my dad's face, and removed our red swollen faces and tadah! (Carolyn was back on the flight home - we hadn't seen her in 15 years!)

Above you see my parents, whatever possessed them to get a picture of each other by a garbage can is beyond me haha, however being the good daughter I am, I reconstructed my dad's hand (quickly therefore it looks like he might be about to sock someone in the eye, but it's better than holding a certificate) and placed them on another background. I also adjusted shadows, and lighting, the entire colours in the images, and we have a nice picture of the two of them! This took about 45 minutes.

Here I took pictures of Mom and Dad on the Ferry and put them together on a cruise ship!

This is a picture of Charlene Grayson (Charming Chows) waiting to get her exam before winning a Group 2 with this girl. The picture was obstructed by a big white chain. This was just a quick five minute example but
two feet were reconstructed as well as the dress.
This is Koji posing on a rock outside our building. I am in the process of putting him into the after picture on the right.
I need to lighten up the rocks in the background so they share the same colour to a degree as the one he is laying on, but already starting to look nice.

D.E. Chalakee (sorrel with flaxen mane) and Lacy's Spirit (chestnut).

Colourize old black and white photos!
Colourize old black and white photos!
Here are two examples (about twenty minutes each) inserted into new settings.
Adding a simple shadow of a branch can make it much more realistic. Changing the light source on the subject, creating new shadows and editing the background's light source make for a much more realistic appearance.

I fell in love with this dog the first time I saw him ... so I grabbed myself a picture and put him in a scene that really compliments him and sent the owner a copy.
She was thrilled with it!

When editing a fun photo like this, I try my best to capture the true outline of the dog ... not just a chopped cutout looking edit ...
Here is a close up of the edit! I had to change his colours a bit to reflect the blue of his surroundings,
added some shadows to the rock, and the gradual fadeout as they occur naturally. I added highlights to the back of his legs, tail, head & ears, then added lowlights to the front of his legs, chest and face to take on the origin of light in the original picture.
This is Simon owned by Lynda & Wayne Eyster at NORTHWIND CHOWS
The images were so perfect that I couldn't help but practice on them.
I added his reflection and shadows on the flooring, imported him into an Asian decor living room,
and applied shadows and highlights on his body to portray the sun coming through the window.

Gag Gifts! Here is John a.k.a. "chowdaddy"- I took his face from a casual house shot
(being that he's an awesome photographer I got a GREAT high resolution image to work from)

I made him a firefighter, a swimmer, and a body builder (not to mention a Gorilla haha!)

Take your favorite photo and make it into your computer desktop!

This was a REALLY tough one ... it took a lot of rebuilding, re-coloring, removing and fixing of the background ...

It truly maddened me for a bit.

Axel Rose posed for a photo, and unfortunately the camera they guys were using was on the wrong setting as you can see ...

What a challenge, but it turned out to be a photo he could frame in the end!

This is a great photo to show you because you get to see the possibilities of old photos, bad film, under or over exposed images that would otherwise find themselves in the garbage bin.

This took me a little over 5 hours to fix ...

Perfect Pose but REALLY low resolution pictures so the edits are harsher than normal.
Handler removed.
"Australian Grand Champion Zipadedoda Go For Gold"
The photograph was taken by Michael Trafford.
This little princess was celebrating birthday fun by dressing up - I took out the patio clutter and placed her on a background that was worthy of her princess stature! I added some rays of light coming down on her, created highlights where it hit and lowlights to the back, and added some transparency to her gown's edge to allow for the fabric to look real in front of the background.
