WEBSITE DESIGN
The following are examples I have done over the past 15 years through my employers! I believe in straight forward websites, uncluttered with animations or backgrounds that appear before your pictures. I insist on easy navigation. I believe in using text as text, and not images. Search engines require information to be available in text format for data collection. Submitting is an often overlooked, but critical part of owning a web space. Proper Meta tags and web submissions can make the difference between your customer meeting you, before your competition. I work with Macromedia, Adobe Photoshop, Quark, Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, EyeCandy, Dreamweaver and many other programs. Since I work in several different aspects of graphic design, I can bring you website to life in your every day business needs, from business cards, to pamphlets, t-shirts, stationary, decals and logos! I recommend staying away from free web hosting. Although they provide a start, I suggest your local ISP. I feel this way for several reasons. Recently I was informed by a customer that a designer deleted their site and all the files within it, then claimed rights to all the images designed for the site. The website was hosted on Tripod, and the hosting providers notified the client that they do not backup the files on the website. Similarly, I have also had a website deleted on a free server this year with the same explanation from the provider. I moved to a secure server who notifies us when someone is trying to invade our web space/security, stealing bandwidth or sending harassing emails. Typically they provide detailed web stats, options and add-ons, 24 hour web support, things that aren't available in free sites. I would recommend finding a designer that doesn't use a standard template for each site, if you're going to pay for a site, pay for one that will be yours and unique to you in all ways. Look for a designer that can create a unique web presence for you without having to use graphics from other designers or free graphic sites. The graphics I design will be one of a kind. Too many websites have the exact same layout as every other site done by a designer. Too many wonderful pictures, butchered with bad editing skills, faded images, horrible use of the clone tool. Editing pictures, should only be done by professionals. I specialize in pixel editing, and it makes up for 60% of my clients. Upon completion, you graphics are yours, use them as you see fit. I will provide a disk with all your files when completed upon request. I will teach you to save your website to your own hard drive and how to change your passwords/contact information after the website is completed. When you get a website designed by myself, you own everything I create. I hold no copyright to any of the graphics, layout, or html that are designed for you  - you don't "rent" a webpage, you buy it, and all images created for it, unless the designer has borrowed them from someone else instead of making new ones. I will do regular and reliable maintaining, as well without asking, I refresh the index pages of each site to reflect current season's and holiday - something new and refreshing to a visitor who may be at your site once a week. Keeping a website UTD is a crucial!
