2008 National Specialty Updates Hi everyone! Here's the latest news: Live Auction Pledge Deadline - March 15th! If you haven't pledged your item yet for Wednesday night's live auction, please do it now. We will not be accepting last minute live auction items this year. Items not pledged by the 15th will be put on the silent auction that will run throughout the show. To pledge your item, email or call auction chair Bonnie Young at chows1@bellsouth.net, 770-957-1618. Thanks to everyone who's pledged so far! Hotel Reservations: The hotel is getting short of rooms so if you don't have yours yet, don't wait any longer! We still have a shortage of rooms for Friday night, April 18. If you have a reservation for that date but don't need it, please let it go so someone else can have it. For reservations, call 800-558-9573 or 262-369-4999. Vendor Reservations with payment are due by March 15th. Vendor reservation form & information is on the CCCI website at http://chowclub.org Pat Hastings seminar: The March 1st pre-registration deadline for CCCI members to attend for free has passed. If you missed it, you can still attend for a $45 fee. (this is about half what this seminar usually costs) Final registration deadline is April 1. We can still use a little more help, though! Stomach Cancer Research: Dr. Elizabeth McNiel is coming to our national this year! She'll be updating the membership on her research and taking samples at ringside on Tuesday April 22. Instead of blood samples, this year she'll be doing painless DNA cheek swabs! She's particularly interested in Chows aged 7 years and up, so please bring your older dogs on Tuesday. Don't miss this opportunity to help fight a terrible disease that's killing our Chows! Attn: Rally Exhibitors and those still thinking about it -- the CCCI Obedience Committee will be setting up a novice level outdoor practice ring so you have a chance to work some bugs out before Tuesday's competition. Even if you're not showing but are interested in rally, this will help you get a feel for the event. Premium lists for the national & accompanying regionals have been mailed to all CCCI members.
